Jimmie Johnson to run Daytona 500 in 2024
Jimmie Johnson confirmed Tuesday he will run the Daytona 500 in 2024 with a sponsorship deal from Carvana.

The deal is for three NASCAR Cup Series races. Johnson will also run the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Cup Series Championship race in November at Phoenix with Carvana.
Johnson previously announced six other races in the No. 84 Legacy Motor Club Toyota Camry XSE. He will have AdventHealth and Dollar Tree, Inc. backing three races apiece:
- Texas – April
- Dover – April
- Kansas – May
- Coca-Cola 600 (Charlotte) – May
- Kansas – September
- Las Vegas – October
If Jimmie Johnson were to win a third Daytona 500 in his 2024 run, he’d be only the seventh driver to win the Great American Race three or more times, joining these drivers:
- Richard Petty – 7 Daytona 500 wins
- Cale Yarborough – 4
- Bobby Allison, Dale Jarrett Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon – 3
