Joe Gibbs Racing unveils 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup
Chandler Smith and Sheldon Creed will officially race full-time for Joe Gibbs Racing, while Aric Almirola will return to the team, in 2024.
JGR made all of this official as they set their lineups for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Smith will drive the No. 81 entry while Creed will drive the No. 18. Aric Almirola will drive the No. 20, splitting the ride with John Hunter Nemechek.
JGR will expand to four entries in 2024. The No. 19 entry will feature returning drivers Ryan Truex and Joe Graf Jr., as well as William Sawalich and Taylor Gray.
Ryan Truex earned three top-5 finishes in six starts last season, including a win at Dover. Truex also earned an 11.7 average finish and led 133 of 1002 laps he ran.
Joe Graf Jr. also ran six races, netting two top-10 finishes and just eight laps led.
Taylor Gray ran full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the first time last year.
William Sawalich, still under 18 until October 3, 2024, earned three top-10 finishes in six NCTS starts last year. He also brought home four ARCA Menards Series wins and the ARCA East title.
