CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR fined Joey Logano for an incident on pit road after Sunday night’s Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Logano will have to shell out $50,000 to the sanctioning body. Team Penske reportedly doesn’t plan to appeal the decision made Wednesday.

Logano was irate after Austin Dillon bumped him from the lead and into the turn three wall on the final lap. As Logano drove down pit road with a broken toe link, he came close to people standing near where he was passing by. Video showed bystanders had to quickly back out of the way – and a NASCAR official even had to urgently push some of them out of the way.

Logano then stopped. Then, as he got back going, he did a burnout before finally coming to a stop.

When he stopped, a NASCAR official swiftly admonished him.

NASCAR penalized Dillon for the on-track incident with Logano.
