John Hunter Nemechek takes checkered flag at Texas

FORT WORTH — John Hunter Nemechek led the final 22 laps to earn his fourth victory of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season Saturday in the SpeedyCash.com 200.

NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott was second, Ross Chastain was third, Grant Enfinger was fourth and Austin Hill was fifth at Texas Motor Speedway.

“I feel like we’ve been making a statement all year,” Nemechek. “I feel like we’re one of the favorites every time that we show up to the race track.”

The victory was Nemechek’s tenth of his Truck Series career.

The next race for the series is scheduled for Friday, June 18, at Nashville Superspeedway.
