Josh Williams to race Busch Light Clash, Atlanta for Kaulig Racing
Josh Williams will race at least twice in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, beginning with the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum.
Kaulig Racing on Monday announced Williams will race for them in the February 3-4 exhibition event and February 25 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Williams will also race full-time in the Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing. He has three starts in the Cup Series, all in 2022 with Live Fast Motorsports.
“Getting another opportunity in the Cup Series is humbling, especially with a team like Kaulig Racing,” Williams said. “I’ve been spending time in the sim with Team Chevy, and that’s been a huge help in getting comfortable and acclimated to the L.A. Coliseum.”
Williams will take to the track Saturday for practice and his heat race for the Clash. Practice kicks off at 6 p.m. ET while the heat races begin at 8:30 p.m. (TV: FS1)
Should Williams need it, the Last Chance Qualifier will go green Sunday at 6:40 p.m. Otherwise, if Williams races into the Clash through his heat, the Clash goes green just after 8 p.m. (TV: FOX)
