Juan Montoya finishes 32nd in return to Cup Series
In his first NASCAR Cup Series start in more than a decade, Juan Pablo Montoya finished 32nd, two laps down Sunday in the Go Bowling at the Glen.

Montoya piloted the No. 50 Toyota for 23XI Racing, starting the 92-lap race in 34th.
The 48-year-old driver raced as high as eighth mid-race in his first NASCAR race at the New York road course since 2013.

Prior to Sunday, Montoya raced a two-race stint with Team Penske in 2014, after racing full-time for team owner Chip Ganassi from 2007 to 2013.
During his time in the Cup Series, Montoya won two races (Sonoma 2007, Watkins Glen 2010) and qualified for the NASCAR Playoffs in 2009.
Prior to the race, Montoya said he was open to doing more NASCAR Cup Series races.
“If someone comes to me one day and asks me if I want to do a one-off, I would probably say yes,” Montoya said.
