Kaz Grala will replace Jade Buford at the Talladega and Dover Xfinity Series races in the No. 48 Chevy, Big Machine Racing announced Tuesday, Apr. 12.

Buford had raced the first eight events for the team, posting a season-high finish of eighth at Austin.

“We’ve made a very serious commitment to the NASCAR Xfinity Series including our strategic partnership with RCR,” team owner Scott Borchetta said in a statement.

“And at this time we need to evaluate all aspects of the team as I am determined to run up front.”

Grala has raced in three Xfinity Series events this season, with a season-high of 23rd at Las Vegas y Speedway, driving for Alpha Prime Racing.
