NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — Brad Keselowski rebounded from a rough week to get the pole for the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Shane van Gisbergen started the Open on the pole and led the opening half of the race before falling behind on strategy.
Strategy was no problem for Carson Hocevar who took the lead on two fresh tires and held on to advance to the NASCAR All-Star Race. John Hunter Nemechek finished second to Hocevar after taking on scuff tires after a caution for Riley Herbst wrecking with 23 laps to go.
Noah Gragson finished 17th but advanced as the fan vote winner.
Ryan Preece was set to restart on the front row with Hocevar until he had a choose box violation that knocked him to the rear of the field. He finished 11th, three spots behind Bubba Wallace who also had a chance at making the All-Star Race before some late-race scrapping caught him out.
