Kyle Busch tops first practice at ISM Raceway
AVONDALE, Ariz. — Kyle Busch led the opening Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice Friday (November 8) at ISM Raceway for the Bluegreen Vacations 500.
Busch posted the fastest lap time at the one-mile raceway with a lap time of 26.170 seconds (137.562 mph).
Denny Hamlin, Matt DiBenedetto, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-five in the practice session.
THE RUNDOWN
All 39 drivers turned at least four laps in the opening practice.
Playoff drivers ended the session in the following positions: Kyle Busch (1st), Denny Hamlin (2nd), Joey Logano (4th), Kyle Larson (5th), Ryan Blaney (6th), Brad Keselowski (8th), Kevin Harvick (9th) and Chase Elliott (18th).
Qualifying for the Bluegreen Vacations 500 will be held Saturday, November 9.
The race will be televised on Sunday, November 10 on NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET.
