Kyle Larson claims Cup victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway
HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Kyle Larson claimed victory with a late-race pass for the win in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Larson led six times for 19 laps, including the final seven laps, and earned his first win of the 2025 Cup Series season.
“It was far from perfect. I gave up a couple of spots getting in the wall. I had to keep plugging away and I’m proud of myself, my team and the gritty, hard work with the damage and pit stops. It’s one of the coolest wins of my Cup career with the heartbreak here and this weekend,” Larson said.
Larson claimed his 30th career win. With 24 wins for Hendrick Motorsports, he is now third to only Jeff Gordon (93 wins) and Jimmie Johnson (83) on Hendrick Motorsports’ all-time wins list.
The driver dubbed “Young Money” had to pass teammate Alex Bowman for the win. Bowman led 43 laps but lost the lead after hitting the wall with seven laps to go.

“I guess I choked that one away. I saw the 5 coming and tried moving around, hit the wall, then pulled off the wall too soon. We had a couple of mistakes there,” Bowman said.
Wallace restarted as the leader on lap 216. He led for 18 laps before Bowman took command and Larson passed him.
“It was really good. We showed up in Miami and had speed which is exactly the box you want to check off as a driver,” Wallace said. “My pit crew has been on fire and we are damn sure competitive. They got me up there and gave me a shot.”
Wallace claimed a bonus point for running the fastest lap of the race — 32.335 seconds on lap 218.
