Kyle Larson leads 90-minute long practice session at Dover
Kyle Larson set the fastest lap in practice for the NASCAR All-Star Race on Friday with a best lap of 22.792 and a speed of 157.950 mph.

Larson who has previously won at Dover and also the All-Star Race ran a total of 73 laps. Carson Hocevar had the best ten consecutive lap average with an average speed of 156.103 mph.
A medical emergency delayed practice by 10 minutes. NASCAR extended the session in response.
Practice came with differences to the one mile oval for the NASCAR Cup Series with the next gen cars now using 750 horsepower instead of 670. The cars also now use a different aero package with a smaller diffuser at Dover.
Also, like sister concrete track Nashville Superspeedway, the turns were laid down with resin for the first time.
Larson has previously won at Dover in 2019 and the All-Star Race in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
