Lally, Williams each earn first Xfinity Top 10 of 2021
After plenty of beating and banging in the final laps of the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) B&L Transport 170 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Andy Lally and Josh Williams each earned their first Top 10 finish of the 2021 NXS season.
Lally finished fifth in the No. 23 Our Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, which ties his best career NXS finish. On the final lap, Lally made contact with Riley Herbst, which caused Herbst to spin out shortly after Herbst made contact with Miguel Paludo who also spun out.
Lally previously finished fifth at Mid-Ohio in August 2017, Road America in August 2020 and the Daytona road course in August 2020.
Williams finished 10th in the No. 92 DGM Racing Chevrolet Camaro. The 10th-place finish is his best result since finishing ninth at Texas Motor Speedway in October 2020.
2021 is now Williams’ third consecutive season where he has scored at least one Top 10. Williams’ best career NXS finish is sixth at Kansas in October 2020.
The next race for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the June 12 Alsco Uniforms 250 at Texas Motor Speedway (4 p.m. ET; TV: FS1; Radio: PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
