Corey Heim continues warpath to Truck title at Martinsville with 11th win
MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Because, why not? Corey Heim earned his 11th win of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season Friday at Martinsville Speedway.
Heim swept the first two stages and led three times for 77 of 200 laps en route to yet another historic win. No one has more wins in a single season than Heim in the 2025 Truck season.
However, the championship is anything but locked up. Although he finished the Round of 8 a stout 97 points ahead of second-place and has scored 284 more points than any other driver (almost five races worth of points), Corey Heim could still lose the championship at Phoenix Raceway next weekend.
“I don’t want to jump to any conclusions. We still got a big race going into Phoenix. We wanted to have the momentum going into Phoenix and this is the way to do it. Got a big one next week to close it. It’s gonna be tough but I’m confident we can do it,” Heim said.
Ty Majeski and Tyler Ankrum each made the Championship 4 by one point while Kaden Honeycutt won the tiebreaker for the final spot over Layne Riggs.
Honeycutt finished second while Riggs finished third. The tiebreaker came down to the best finish in the round, which Honeycutt earned with finishing second.
Majeski finished seventh and earned a Championship 4 spot despite hitting the wall on the restart before overtime and fading fast. Ankrum finished ninth after recovering from issues on pit road that put him back in the pack.
