McDowell, Gilliland to return to Front Row in 2024
Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland will return to Front Row Motorsports full-time for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.
FRM announced Thursday they picked up each driver’s option for next season. It will be McDowell’s seventh full-time Cup Series season with FRM and Gilliland’s third.
“Both Michael and Todd are like family to me. They have been determined to make the team better each season and they just keep fighting to do that. I’m proud of both and now we will be focused on the remainder of 2023 and prepare for 2024 to be even better,” team owner Bob Jenkins said.
The organization touted McDowell’s efforts to strengthen and develop the team and Gilliland’s breakout season in 2023.
Zane Smith, who has made some Cup Series starts with FRM this year, is eying opportunities in other NASCAR national series besides the Truck Series. That includes staying with FRM in 2024.
While FRM didn’t specify further on Smith, they said its Truck Series team will return in 2024. They will announce more plans in the coming weeks.
