NASCAR: Austin Hill full-time in RCR’s No. 33 in 2027
Austin Hill will continue to pilot the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Cup Series ride in 2027.
RCR announced Monday, August 24, Hill will drive the team’s renumbered entry, staying with the team he has raced with in NASCAR’s top national touring series since 2022.
“I’m extremely thankful to Richard and everyone at RCR for believing in me and giving me this opportunity,” Hill said in a press release.
Hill was announced as the replacement after the sudden passing of Kyle Busch in May.
Hill has raced in the renumbered No. 33 since the Coca-Cola 600.
2027 will be the 32-year-old’s first attempt at a full-time schedule in the Cup Series.
