NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover postponed to Monday

The NASCAR Cup Series Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway will be run Monday at noon ET.

NASCAR postponed the race after forecasts called for rain all day. As a result, they determined they wouldn’t have a chance to dry the track and run the race.

Dover Motor Speedway doesn’t have lights and can’t race at night.

Kyle Busch and Christopher Bell will be on the front row for Monday’s race.

Since the spring Dover race moved to late-April/early May, rain affected four of the five non-COVID races.

The 2021 race ran under sunny skies, while the 2018 race ran on a Sunday after a rain delay. Rain pushed the 2019, 2022 and 2023 races to Monday.
