NASCAR: Ty Gibbs holds off Christopher Bell for Iowa win
Ty Gibbs held off a charge from his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell Sunday at Iowa Speedway to capture his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of the 2026 season.

Gibbs led the final 20 laps, springing ahead of Bell during the final green flag pit stops, inheriting the lead on lap 330.
Gibbs thanked his crew chief Ty Allen for the race-winning call on his teammates.
For Bell, the result was his seventh second-place finish of the 2026 campaign, extending his winless streak to 30 races, dating back to Bristol last September.
“This is what you call a bad second-place finish for sure,” Bell said to USA Network post-race.
Polesitter Ryan Blaney, who own Stage 1, finished third.
Josh Berry earned his first Top-5 effort of the year in fourth.
Points leader Denny Hamlin, who started at the rear of the field with brake issues, finished fifth.
Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastian, A.J. Allmendinger, William Byron, and Austin Dillon rounded out the Top-10.
