NASCAR penalizes Josh Berry, Carson Hocevar post Martinsville
Josh Berry and Carson Hocevar were each fined by NASCAR following their on-track actions at Martinsville Speedway, the sanctioning body announced Tuesday.

NASCAR announced both Berry and Hocevar were both assessed “behavioral” infractions, with both drivers losing 25 driver points.
Berry was fined $50,000 while Hocevar was fined $100,000.
In the driver’s standings, the penalty drops Hocevar from 12th to 13th in points while Berry drops from 21st to 22nd in points.
The Hocevar penalty is in addition to the decision of Spire Motorsports to suspend Hocevar from the Homestead-Miami race this weekend.
Additionally, RFK Racing No. 60 team members James Price and Samuel Wright were each suspended from the next two NASCAR Cup Series races (through the Clash) after Ryan Preece’s rear tire came off during the Xfinity 500.
