Nick Sanchez, Big Machine Racing partner for four NASCAR Xfinity races

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Nick Sanchez announced Wednesday he will drive Big Machine Racing’s No. 48 Chevrolet in four NASCAR Xfinity Series races later this year.
Sanchez’s four NXS starts will come on Sept. 16 at Bristol, Sept. 24 at Texas, Oct. 15 at Las Vegas and Oct. 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The three-time ARCA Menards Series winner was scheduled to run for BJMM this Saturday at Pocono, Aug. 6 at Michigan, Sept. 10 at Kansas and at the Bristol and Homestead races, before announcing, July 13, he would be parting with the deal.
In his two NXS races with BJMM, Sanchez finished 26th, 2 laps down at Phoenix in March and 28th with a DNF at Charlotte.

Sanchez is currently second in the ARCA Menards Series points standings, six points behind leader Rajah Caruth. Sanchez won at Talladega in April and Kansas in May.

Jade Buford began the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season as the full-time driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet for Big Machine Racing but stepped away from full-time duties after the Martinsville race in April. Buford has only run the Portland race in June and his status with the team is still unclear.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will drive the No. 48 Chevrolet this weekend. Stefan Parsons will drive the No. 5 BJMM entry.
