Noah Gragson to make NASCAR Cup Series return at Nashville

LEBANON, TENN. — Noah Gragson is set to make his return in the NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 this Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway.

Legacy Motor Club announced Gragson’s return and said NASCAR granted him a playoff waiver.

On lap 199 of the Cup Series race June 4 at Gateway, Gragson’s brake rotor blew entering turn one. He spun, hit the grass and slammed the outside wall with the right-rear of the car.

Gragson missed the June 11 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway due to concussion-like symptoms. Grant Enfinger filled in and finished 26th on the lead lap.

Gragson sit 33rd in points with no top-ten finishes, only two laps led and an average finish of 28.5. He only has two lead-lap finishes better than 26th this season: 12th at Atlanta in March, 20th at COTA in March.
