RCR suspends the No. 8, team renumbered to No. 33
Richard Childress Racing has suspended the use of the No. 8 for its NASCAR Cup Series program, electing to change to the No. 33 after the news of Kyle Busch’s sudden passing this week, the team announced Friday (May 22).
The team will utilize the No. 33 moving forward.
Busch’s stylized No. 8 was unveiled ahead of his debut with RCR for 2023.
Busch won three races in his first year with RCR.
