Riggs on Phoenix Truck Pole as leading Chase rivals start up front

Riggs, 27.039, took pole over his primary championship rival Kaden Honeycutt by over a tenth for his series-best pole mark.

Chase leader Honeycutt will join his foe on the front row from second which will allow the driver of the No. 11 to contend with him right away.

Then, the third driver in the Chase will start from that position. Rigg’s Front Row Motorsports teammate Chandler Smith will start from the second row directly behind the championship frontrunners.

Landen Lewis will start alongside Smith from the second row in fourth. He has vastly improved under the tutelage of former series champion Ron Hornaday Jr and looks for his first career win in the desert.

Ben Rhodes rounds out the top five qualifiers from fifth. He will be joined by his teammate Ty Majeski on the third row from sixth.

Tristian McKee makes his third career series start in the Spire Motorsports No. 77 from seventh. Tanner Gray will be without his crew chief this weekend, but the hinderance didn’t phase the group as they will start eighth.

William Sawalich dips down from the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for a double duty weekend in the Tricon Garage No. 5. He will start ninth with fellow all-star trucker Connor Mosack from tenth.

Notable Entrants

Half of the Chase drivers qualified inside the top ten. Christian Eckes will start the highest among the rest in 13th.

Then Grant Enfinger will start a row behind in 15th alongside Gio Ruggiero in 16th.

Finally, the remaining MHR Chase duo of Daniel Hemric and Tyler Ankrum have the most work to do tonight against their competition.

They start 18th and 21st as all 36 entrants qualified into the Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150.
