Ryan Blaney ties Kyle Petty on wins list

Ryan Blaney’s Monday victory in the Coca-Cola 600 snapped a 59-race skid in the Cup Series, netting the Team Penske driver his eighth career win.
Blaney is now tied with Kyle Petty on the all-time wins list, 67th all time.
“A big weekend, and obviously winning the 600 is massive,” Blaney said. “I grew up coming (to Charlotte) watching my dad race for a long time as a kid. It’s just what we did every summer.
“Really cool, and it was cool for my parents to be here as well. So that was a special moment.”
Petty, the son of NASCAR’s King Richard Petty, raced in the Cup Series from 1979 to 2008.
Ahead of Blaney and Petty on the wins list is Paul Goldsmith, Cotton Owens and Bob Welborn, all with nine wins apiece.
