Sieg was the only driver to dip below the 24 second threshold with a 23.966 second time around the fastest short track on the planet.

He also bested the only NASCAR Cup Series regular in the field, Ross Chastain. Chastain will line up on the front row alongside Sieg as he slots back into the JR Motorsports No. 9 again at Iowa.

The second row consists of two more JRM teammates. Carson Kvapil parlays his first career win at Indianapolis into a third place starting position. Meanwhile, Rajah Caruth returns to the JRM No. 88 for the rest of the season and starts fourth.

Justin Allgaier rounds out the all-Chevrolet top five from fifth.

Sheldon Creed joins Allgaier on the third row from sixth. This comes fresh off the back of his Haas Factory Team outfit announced Dean Thompson to a new third entry for 2027.

Jeremy Clements starts his second consecutive race inside the top ten from seventh. Corey Day joins Clements on the fourth row from eighth.

Then, Iowan Sammy Smith will pay tribute to Michael Annett as his car adorns a special paint scheme for the late JRM driver. He will start ninth.

Finally, Parker Retzlaff and Viking Motorsports rounds out an all-Chevrolet top ten.

Notable Starters

In fact, Chevrolet locked down the entire top twelve starters for the HyVee Perks 250. The highest starting Toyota is Taylor Gray from 13th. Then his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates are scattered not too far behind him inside the top 20.

Nick Sanchez is one of those drivers that is sandwiched between the JGR cars. He returns to the Peterson Motorsports No. 87 for another set of races from Austin Green and starts 14th.

Two drivers are set to make their O’Reilly Series debut later today. The young Carson Brown joins Jordan Anderson Racing for the weekend as he will debut from 20th.

Derek Lemke jumps up to the O’Reilly Series for the first time in the DGM Racing No. 91 and start 30th.

All 37 entrants qualified for the event. Below is the full starting lineup for the O’Reilly Series from Iowa Speedway.
