SRX suspends Paul Tracy for on-track incident
The Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) suspended Paul Tracy after an on-track incident Thursday at Pulaski County Motorsports Park.
With under 12 laps to go in the main event, Tracy doorslammed Josef Newgarden exiting turn four. That turned Tracy into the wall and set off a race-ending wreck for him, Newgarden and Ken Schrader.
“I won’t race with him again. I’m done,” Schrader said about Tracy after the wreck.

Hailie Deegan and Marco Andretti were also in the wreck. However, they continued and finished eighth and ninth.
Andretti, in fact, brought out a caution just after the subsequent restart as he tried riding out the race with damage.
With Paul Tracy suspended for Thursday’s SRX race at Berlin Raceway it’ll be the first time he has missed a race. No word on if there will be a replacement for Tracy.
SRX CEO Don Hawk made the following statement after issuing the penalty:
“We take issues regarding driver safety extremely seriously at SRX. This is not a decision we take lightly. It is our responsibility to ensure that we foster a competitive, and most importantly, a safe racing environment. I have been in contact with Paul directly and we appreciate his cooperation on this matter.”
