Zane Smith back to Front Row Motorsports for 2025 NASCAR season

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Zane Smith will return to Front Row Motorsports to race for them in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025.
Smith will wheel the No. 38 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for FRM this season. This comes two seasons after he departed the organization for a deal with Trackhouse Racing that fell apart after just one season.
Smith has had success with FRM. He won the 2022 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship in the No. 38 Ford. The next season, he made the NCTS playoffs and did a handful of Cup Series starts.

The move to name Smith to the No. 38 Ford comes as FRM closed on the purchase of a charter from Stewart-Haas Racing. The purchase was in limbo after a judge denied FRM’s motion for a preliminary injunction in November. FRM refiled the motion later that month, which a new judge in the case granted.
Smith earned a pair of Top-5 finishes and four total Top-10s while driving for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. In fact, he came as close as a car length away from his first win at Nashville Superspeedway in June.
Ryan Bergenty will serve as crew chief for Smith in 2025.
