Bristol Motor Speedway to host MLB game in 2025
BRISTOL, Tenn. — The Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds will visit Bristol Motor Speedway next August for the first-ever MLB game at the famed NASCAR track.
The MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, reportedly at 7 p.m. ET on FOX. Officials say in-person attendance could exceed 100,000 people. They also have August 3 as a makeup/rain date, if need be.
Here is what the field will look like:
Tickets will go on-sale to the general public in early December. There are ways to get in on tickets earlier than that. Click here for more details.
This won’t be the first time the historic 0.533-mile track will host a major non-NASCAR sporting event.
In 2016, a record 156,990 people packed in to watch the Tennessee Volunteers beat the Virginia Tech Hokies in a 45-24 victory during the September 10, 2016, “Battle at Bristol” college football game.
About 55 years before, Sept. 2, 1961, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Commanders (née Redskins) in a 17-10 NFL exhibition win.
