Bubba Wallace 10th in Xfinity Series return
Bubba Wallace netted a Top-10 run in his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start since 2017.
Wallace drove the No. 61 Toyota Supra at Michigan International Speedway Saturday (Aug. 21) for team owner Shigeaki Hattori in the New Holland 250, replacing Austin Hill who was originally scheduled to drive the racecar.
“The Supra and I went through a little hell, but came out all smiles,” Wallace said on social media post race. “Thanks Hattori Racing for the wheels.”
Wallace was the highest finishing non-Xfinity Series driver in the event.
In 86 career starts in the series, Wallace has netted 6 Top-5 finishes and 36 Top-10 finishes.
