Colin Braun returning to Kaulig’s Free Agent truck for Lime Rock
Colin Braun, who made a return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series after a 15 year hiatus at St. Petersburg, will race again in the No. 25 RAM for Kaulig Racing at Lime Rock Park next weekend.
Braun is best known for his success in IMSA where he’s won three championships in 2014, 2015, and 2022. He’s also won the 24 Hours of Daytona four times.
He also found success in other events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 where he also won.
He is no stranger to racing at Lime Rock either and has won before at the 1.53 mile road course in Northwest Connecticut before. Braun won in the American Le Mans Series at the track in 2012. In IMSA, he’s made three starts with a best finish of fourth in 2015.
Braun previously competed full time in the Truck Series in 2008 and 2009 for RFK Racing. He has one win in the series coming at Michigan in 2009. He finished fifth in the standings that year too. He returned to the series for two more starts for Billy Ballew Motorsports in 2011.
He also competed part time in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for RFK with starts in 2007, 2008, and 2010. His best finish is a second place at Indy Raceway Park in 2008.
Braun’s return to NASCAR at St Petersburg was successful as he finished in ninth after starting in 16th. Braun is looking to beat that finish and potentially compete for the win at Lime Rock. If successful, he will give RAM their first win in the Truck Series since 2012.
Lime Rock will be the last of four road course races on the Truck Series schedule.
