Front Row Motorsports extends Todd Gilliland ahead of ISC fourth round appearance
Front Row Motorsports extends Todd Gilliland to an additional season in their No. 34 Ford entry for 2027 ahead of the driver’s semi-final bout with Chase Elliott at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The team announced the contract extension via X on Friday afternoon with a simplistic statement shown below.
Gilliland made his rise in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Front Row Motorsports for two seasons to begin the 2020’s before singing to their NASCAR Cup Series program.
Since then, he has found his footing in the Cup Series as a pairing. The 26-year-old has made all but five of his 164 series starts with the organization since his rookie campaign in 2022.
While his current 2026 campaign has underwhelmed in comparison to his previous two seasons, the In-Season Challenge has been a breath of fresh air.
Gilliland made the tournament as the 25th seed and has provided valiant underdog performances in the first two rounds against Spire Motorsports’ Daniel Suarez and Carson Hocevar to advance.
Most recently in the third round, he made a late stride to pass Alex Bowman to advance into the fourth round at North Wilkesboro this weekend.
This weekend will continue to be an uphill battle for him. He will face Chase Elliott in the semi-final round, but Gilliland has found his way to an upset result before.
He will start 18th, only eight positions behind his rival Elliott as he looks to advance to the championship round at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
