NASCAR in Chicago 2024: Odds, TV times, entry lists and more info

CHICAGO — NASCAR is back to take over the streets of Chicago as the Cup and Xfinity Series kick off the month of July in the Windy City.
Last year, the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at the Chicago Street Course saw Shane van Gisbergen score a stunning win that propelled him into the spotlight.

A year later, he’ll get to go for a win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, facing defending winner Cole Custer and a stacked field of regulars and road course connoisseurs.

- 4:30 p.m. (all times Eastern) Sunday on NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
- Stages end on laps 20, 45, 75 (25 laps shorter than last year)
- Fuel Window: 40 laps
- Pit road speed: 35 mph
- Caution car speed: 40 mph
- Pre-race ceremonies start at 4:37 p.m.
It is a full field for the second annual race on the streets of Chicago as there are 36 chartered entries and four open entries:
- AJ Allmendinger – No. 13 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet
- Austin Hill – No. 33 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet
- Joey Hand – No. 60 RFK Racing Ford

Shane van Gisbergen is back to defend the stunning victory he earned last year. He’ll drive the rotating No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet.
In the other rotating entry – the No. 15 Rick Ware Racing Ford – Kaz Grala will get to flex his road course might.
Many drivers will honor the Fourth of July with their paint schemes while others, like Michael McDowell, will honor other sports in the Windy City.
Josh Berry, Brad Keselowski, Corey LaJoie, Chris Buescher and Harrison Burton are going to the rear of the field for “unapproved adjustments” after they each had an incident in qualifying.
Ryan Blaney and Erik Jones are also going to the rear of the field for unapproved adjustments. William Byron will go to the rear after the team replaced the whole steering system after encountering issues in qualifying.
Josh Bilicki will go to the rear after his car failed inspection multiple times.
