NASCAR: Ryan Preece scores first career win, makes Chase
Ryan Preece made a last-lap pass in NASCAR Overtime Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway to score his first career win and secured a Chase berth.
Preece made a last-lap pass on Zane Smith as the field wrecked behind them and cut the race short.
“I’m just speechless right now,” Preece said. “…We’re fighters, and when you put our back against the wall, we swing hard.”
Daniel Suarez and Michael McDowell, the Spire Motorsports teammates, finished second and third.
Tyler Reddick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

6 to go: Caution for Hocevar in third getting loose in Turn 3. Jones collected. Smith the leader.
Lap 95: Blaney wins Stage 2 over Preece.
Lap 44: Back to green with SVG and Logano on the front row.
Lap 35: SVG wins the stage after Buescher and Larson were leading off of Turn 4 and created a multi-car crash coming to the line for the stage conclusion.
Lap 19: Just past halfway in Stage 1, Austin Hill paces the field; all 40 cars on the lead lap.
