Sheldon Creed happy with Cup debut at Kansas

Sheldon Creed made his NASCAR Cup Series debut Sunday at Kansas Speedway, driving for Live Fast Motorsports.
Creed, a full-time Xfinity Series driver for RCR, said he was skeptical coming in, knowing the Gen 7 Cup Series cars drive much differently.
“I’ve had to change my driving style 100%,” Creed said pre-race, adding, “My goal is just to run all the laps. Everyone on the team keeps telling me, ‘No pressure, just run your own race and be clean.'”
Creed would go onto have a solid day. The only struggles were a speeding penalty and a minor scrap to the wall.
The young gun was all smiles afterward. Sheldon Creed managed to get some TV time and a respectable 29th-place finish.

“That’s the hottest I’ve ever been in a race car, but I’m proud of myself and the team,” Creed said upon climbing out of the car.
Creed doesn’t know when his next Cup start will be. He did say he is ready to race the Gen 7 car at any track going forward.
