NASCAR: Ryan Preece to pilot the No. 6 in 2027
Starting in 2027, Ryan Preece will pilot the No. 6 in the NASCAR Cup Series.

RFK Racing announced Tuesday (Nov. 4) Preece will take over the iconic number next year.
“The No. 6 is a symbol of grit determination, and a legacy that Mark Martin helped build,” Preece said on social media.

“As a kid who grew up racing modifieds and fighting for every opportunity, getting to write my own chapter in this car means more than I can put into words.”
Other full-time drivers of the number under the Roush banner include Mark Martin (1988-2006), David Ragan (2007-2011), Trevor Bayne (2015-2018), Matt Kenseth (2018), Ryan Newman (2019-2021), and Brad Keselowski (2022-2026).
